Conor first learned about the NOW Group through a leaflet he received at college. He thought it looked interesting and wanted to get involved.
During his time at the NOW Group Conor heard about Kidnap Wednesday. This is a weekly group for adults with learning difficulties where they can make new friends and get involved in the community. Conor wanted to join this group to make new friends, face new challenges, and gain independence.
At Kidnap Wednesday, Conor enjoyed working with others, meeting new people, and cooking as they made something different every time. His favourite cooking class was learning how to make brownies.
‘’I can help my mum to cook at home. I am up for a challenge and will face it head on. I am determined to get around any issue that I am faced with. I used to cook but had lost interest, however I would now like to attempt to do more cooking.’’
